In these days of working and learning from home, ways to reach friends and family are more important than ever. With Valentine’s Day and Easter approaching, candy makers have launched several new iterations of popular products and seasonal offers to help us all continue to connect through the pandemic.

Unicorn Gummies Heart Boxes

Partnering with Kraft Heinz Co., Hilco debuted several Valentine’s Day items for 2021, including Kool-Aid Gummies Heart Boxes, Unicorn Gummies Heart Boxes (pictured) and Kool-Aid Valentine Candy Card Kits. Each Kool-Aid Valentine Candy Card Kit holds 28 Kool-Aid Man-shaped tropical punch-flavored lollipops—available for an SRP range $3.49 to $3.99.

Kool-Aid Jelly Bean Tube Topper

Meanwhile, for Easter, Hilco and Kraft Heinz Co. are debuting Kool-Aid Jelly Bean Tube Topper and Kool-Aid Easter three-pack popping candy peg bag. The peg bags have an SRP range of $1.29 to $1.49, shipping as four, 12-count displays per case or available on clip strips. Each Kool-Aid Jelly Bean Tube Topper is filled with Kool-Aid-flavored Jelly Beans (Tropical Punch, Cherry, Grape, Orange and Strawberry Kiwi) and topped with a collectible plastic Kool-Aid Man topper (SRP range of $1.29 to $1.49 and shipping as a master case with 24-count).

Disney Gummy Boxes

In November, CandyRific expanded its gummy box offerings with Disney Gummy Boxes. The boxes contain 6 ounces of pink and purple fruit-flavored gummies in the shapes of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse characters. The variety is available for an SRP range of $2.99 to $3.49 per box.

Tic Tac Adventure Line

Inspired by consumers seeking alterative flavors beyond traditional mint, Ferrero USA has expanded its Tic Tac Adventure Line with the debut of Big Berry Adventure, a mash-up of raspberry and blueberry flavors. Tic Tac Big Berry Adventure is packaged in 1- and 3.4-ounce packs.

Totally Awesome Dragons and Unicorns

Bazooka Candy Brands/The Topps Co. is adding a new Totally Awesome brand that debuts with a gummy candy line of Totally Awesome Dragons and Unicorns. The soft and chewy gummies take the shape of characters that represent magical powers in four sweet flavors: Strawberry, Grape, Watermelon and Blue Raspberry. Totally Awesome Dragons and Unicorn Gummies are available for an SRP of $1 per 3.8-ounce peg bag.

Love Bites and Naughty & Nice Spinning Heart Tins

CandyRific’s Valentine’s Day rollouts for 2021 feature Love Bites and Naughty & Nice Spinning Heart Tins for adults with a blank space to write personal messages with dry erase marker (SRP $6.99). All-age rollouts include Sweet Squad Gummies (SRP $2.99) in several designs, including Koala Bear and Mermaid Kitty. Other new packaging includes Mars Spinning Heart Tins (SRP $8.99) and M&M’s Valentine-themed Tube Fans (SRP $4.99).

Pinkfong Baby Shark Light & Sound Wands

CandyRific’s Easter 2021 candy novelties feature three releases: M&M’s Brand Easter Tube Fans, Marvel Avenger’s Black Widow Character Fans and Pinkfong Baby Shark Light & Sound Wands. M&M’s Brand Tube Fans come in pastel colors with a burst of fanned air when a button is pushed. The fans contain a fun-size bag of M&M’s milk-chocolate candies (SRP $5.99). Marvel’s Avengers Character Fans include Black Panther and Spider-Man, with 0.53 ounces of assorted fruit flavored dextrose candies (SRP $5.99), while Baby Shark Light & Sound Wands feature Baby Shark (yellow), Daddy Shark (blue) and Mommy Shark (pink) light-up talkers, with 0.35 ounces of Jelly Belly organic jelly beans (SRP $5.99).

M&M’s Slide Candy Dispensers

Hilco has teamed with Mars Confectionery’s M&M’s to create M&M’s Slide Candy Dispensers. Each comes with a fun-size bag of M&M’s milk-chocolate candies. Dispensers feature a slide component that allows dispensing of M&M’s. The Slide Candy Dispensers are available for an SRP of 98 cents.
