From Valentine’s Day-themed baked goods to new energy drinks, there are a lot of new products retailers can choose from this month.

1. Tastykake

Tastykake, Philadelphia, had three treats out in time for Valentine’s Day. Tender Loving Kakes are coconut treats that are a seasonal version of Tastykake’s classic Kandy Kakes. The treats are made with vanilla sponge cake and lined with shredded coconut pieces and topped with a chocolate coating.

Sweetie Kakes are cupcakes made with chocolate cake and filled with a sweet creme. The cupcakes are topped with a festive red frosting and heart sprinkles.

Kupid Kakes are a Valentine’s Day spin on the classic Juniors. The fluffy yellow cake is topped with white frosting and red sprinkles.

2. Ben & Jerry’s

Ben & Jerry’s recently released a new ice cream flavor and new snacks. 

The premium ice cream company recently released Netflix & Chilll’d ice cream and introduced two new flavors of cookie dough chunks: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Half Baked Chunks. The Netflix & Chilll’d ice cream and Netflix & Chilll’d Non-Dairy feature peanut butter ice cream, sweet and salty pretzel swirls and fudge brownies.

Ben & Jerry’s, Burlington, Vt., is also expanding its nondairy line with its new sunflower butter-based Non-Dairy Frozen Desserts. The three new nondairy flavors are “Milk” & Cookies, Creme Brulee Cookie and Mint Chocolate Cookie.

Two new almond-based Non-Dairy Mini Cups will also be on the market in new flavors: P.B. & Cookies and Caramel Chocolate Chunk.

3. Dawn Foods

Dawn Foods has introduced a sourdough doughnut mix, which is a mashup of sourdough bread and a yeast-raised doughnut. It has a buttery sourdough flavor, the company said.

4. Chifles Plantain Chips

Chifles Plantain Chips, Miami, has come out with a new snack: Chifles Plantain Shells. The snack is a modern-day twist on the bold, crunchy and timeless Chifles flavor, according to the company.

The snack is vegan, gluten-free and uses simple ingredients. The snack has 30% less fat than a traditional potato chip, according to the company.

5. Celsius Heat

Fitness drink Celsius Heat is now available in Jackfruit. This variety of the performance energy drink has a tropical flavor with a tangy twist, according to the Boca Raton, Fla.-based company. 

The drink also comes in Inferno Punch, Blueberry Pomegranate, Orangesicle, Cherry Lime and Strawberry Dragonfruit flavors.

6. CandyRific

CandyRific, Louisville, Ky., has created a “Black Widow” character fan featuring the character from the Marvel movie. The fan provides a puff of cool air and lights up. Each includes 0.53 ounces of assorted fruit-flavored candies.

The product has a suggested retail price of $5.99.

7. C4 Smart Energy

C4 Smart Energy is a better-for-you mental performance energy drink designed to support cognitive function, according to the Austin, Texas-based company. While C4 is known for its energy drinks that power physical performance, its latest beverage is geared toward powering the cognitive realm, C4 said.

The beverage comes in Cotton Candy, Peach Mango Nectar, Electric Sour and Freedom Ice flavors and is made with no sugar, calories or carbohydrates.

The drink will initially roll out to 3,500 GNC stores nationwide and at gym and health clubs through Europa Sports. It will then release at major grocery outlets and will be sold in multiple convenience-store locations.

8. Buzz Pop Cocktails

Buzz Pops Cocktails is partnering with Family Food Brokers, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to expand its distribution of Soothe Ice to 40 states in U.S. and international locations starting April 1.

The frozen treats, from the Tampa, Fla.-based company, are all-natural fruit bars made with hemp oil. The product is vegan, gluten-free, fat-free and is made from organic fruits. It will be in a fruit bar format, eliminating the single-use plastics currently used by Buzz Pops.
