Convenience Store Products e-newsletter gets a facelift

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. -- As mobile becomes an increasingly important part of all of our businesses, Convenience Store Products has moved to a new responsive design that allows for a better experience for our readers.

This new design automatically scales the Convenience Store Products newsletter to fit perfectly on most smartphones and tablets. No more awkward side scrolling, no more zooming in and out.  Our intention is to give you the news you need more efficiently and effectively.

Similar upgrades were recently given to sister e-newsletter CSP Daily News. "Not only is the general population using mobile technology more and more, but our own data shows more CSP Daily News readers are accessing our newsletters on mobile devices than ever before and, actually, more often than they read the newsletter on their PCs," said Steve Holtz, CSP's online news director. "That made making the decision to move to a cleaner, responsive design easy, and I expect readers will welcome the change."

At the same time, we’ve taken advantage of this time of change to clean up our content. While product information is the lifeblood of the CS Products newsletter, our readers are even more interested in product news as it breaks, as well as shopper insights and category-management best practices. So we’re bringing those articles up to the top of the newsletter to, again, help you get informed, educated, and moving on with your day. From there will be our regular listing of new products, handpicked by our editors.

And you can always peruse our entire database of product rollouts here on our website, which you can browse by category or search by keyword or company name. We populate our Products section with upwards of 60 products every month with the goal of keeping our readers informed of all the products available for their stores.

We are also saying farewell to our Wednesday “Spotlight” issues in favor of a consistent newsletter format throughout the week—though we plan to carry on the idea of thematic issues within our new design.

Enjoy the new Convenience Store Products newsletter. We are excited about these changes, and welcome your questions and comments
