6 Enhanced Bottled Waters Making Waves

Seldom is a new bottled water just water anymore. Today they need to be enhanced, flavored, sparkling or some combination of those things.

Perrier & Juice

Nestle Waters North America's Perrier rolled out Perrier & Juice nationwide in July. At only 45 calories per slim can, the new juice drink is intended as a healthy alternative to soda and other beverages. For the first time, Perrier is fusing its bubbles with combinations of real fruit juices, including Strawberry & Kiwi, Peach & Cherry and Pineapple & Mango.

Present CBD-Infused Sparkling Water

Present is a cannabidiol (CBD)-infused sparkling water from beer brewer Left Hand Brewing and WAAYB Organics, a developer of CBD products. Present has 20 milligrams of full-spectrum CBD distillate from hemp grown at WAAYB’s USDA Certified Organic family farm in northern Colorado. The drinks, set to debut Aug. 12, will be available in three flavors: natural, lemon-lime and blood orange.

In June, Good2grow, an Atlanta-based better-for-you kids beverage brand, launched its new Fortified Water Featuring Podz, the next generation of good2grow collectors tops. Designed with bigger kids (ages 7-12) in mind, the new Podz product line comes in a 10-ounce bottle topped with a clear, twist-off domed lid encasing popular and collectible three-dimensional characters from movies, TV and more. Fortified Water Featuring Podz hit shelves in two flavors: Orange Mango and Raspberry Lemonade. The waters keep kids hydrated and also provide a good source of vitamin D and calcium to help build bones, according to the company. Like all good2grow products, they contain no added sugar, no high fructose corn syrup, and no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.

Ever & Ever

All Market Inc., the parent company of coconut water brand Vita Coco and organic energy drink brand Runa, in June launched Ever & Ever, a new aluminum-canned water brand. Ever & Ever aluminum bottles are easily and infinitely recyclable when disposed of correctly in a recycling bin, the company said. Ever & Ever is intended to be "a catalyst for change in the water aisle to give consumers on the go, who left their reusable water bottles at home, the opportunity to purchase single-use waters that won't harm the environment." Ever & Ever is available in Still and Sparkling Water varieties.

La Croix

La Croix in June unveiled a new Hi-Biscus flavor addition to its line of sparkling waters. The new drink was launched in the western United States, according to the company.

Protein2o added a Plus Energy version to its namesake line of enhanced bottled water. Protein2o’s core line of low-calorie protein waters is in 2,000 new retail locations, according to the company, and Protein2o Plus Energy popped up in stores this past spring.
