7 New Packaged-Snack Innovations

peanut snacks

Packaged-snack sales could use a lift in convenience stores. In 2020, salty snacks lost 6.1% in dollar sales with a $5.3 billion market and were off 10.5% in units.

Where did those sales go? Data shows consumers migrated to other channels. In grocery stores, salty snack sales grew 15.1%, while multi-outlet channels were up 13.4%, according to IRI.
