With so many products being released all the time, it can be hard to determine what to stock. In this new feature, Convenience Store Products offers a rundown of the hottest snacks, candies, beverages and prepared foods that hit retailers over the past month. This batch includes items ranging from granola and yogurt to caramel bars and even cold sore medicine.

Here’s a look at what September brought to stores …

1. M&M’s Chocolate Bars

M&M's unveiled its new chocolate bars in September, which will arrive in c-stores nationwide by the end of the year. The sharable bars consist of smooth milk chocolate with whole M&M's Minis inside. M&M’s Chocolate Bars are set to arrive in five flavors: Peanut, Milk Chocolate, Crispy, Almond, and Crispy Mint—all which will be available in 4-ounce sizes.

2. P.B. & Jelly Minis

Hormel Foods, the makers of Skippy Peanut Butter have launched Skippy P.B & Jelly Minis—circular, bit-sized and shareable snacks made with Skippy Peanut Butter and jelly. They are available in three varieties: Skippy Creamy peanut butter and grape jelly with white bakery bread, Skippy Creamy peanut butter and strawberry jelly with white bakery bread and Skippy Natural Creamy peanut butter spread and grape jelly with whole grain bakery bread.

3. Hi-Chew Caramel Apple

Hi-Chew has released its new Caramel Apple flavor just in time for fall. The candy combines flavors of tart and green apple, wrapped in a buttery smooth caramel exterior. It is available in bonus-size sticks, with 12 individually wrapped pieces instead of the traditional 10 pieces.

4. Releev Cold Sore Treatment

Merix Pharmaceutical Corp. has launched its over-the-counter cold-sore relief product, Releev 1 Day Cold Sore Symptom Treatment, in select convenience stores throughout the United States. Since its launch in 1999, the product has been available in drugstores such as Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aid. Releev is now available in various 7-Eleven locations and will soon arrive in Circle K stores.

Releev stops the tingling, itching, pain, burning and blistering associated with cold sores and fever blisters, the company said. It is applied directly on the infection, either on the skin or inside the lips. It eases cold sore pain within 10 minutes and alleviates other skin irritation symptoms within 24 hours, according to Merix.

5. Tastykake fall offerings

Snacking company Tastykake has launched a line of limited-edition fall products, which are available in select retailers through Nov. 17. They include Pumpkin Spice and Caramel Apple Mini Donuts—available in 10 and 11-ounce bags, respectively, for $2.99 each.

6. Van Holten Chamoy Pickle-in-a-Pouch

Pickle manufacturer Van Holten has debuted its Pickle-in-a-Pouch product in a Chamoy flavor—a take on the hot sauce of the same name, made from pickled fruit, chiles and lime—in Stripes c-stores nationwide. The Chamoy pickles will be available in 200 stores in South Texas in November.

7. Absolutely Gluten Free TahiniBar

Absolutely Gluten Free, maker of flour-free crackers, flatbreads and pizza, is taking on the snack bar category with the launch of TahiniBar, a 100-calorie grab-and-go sesame seed snack. All varieties are certified kosher, vegan and dairy-free. The gluten-free treat is available in three varieties: Cocoa Nibs, Pistachio and Vanilla. The bars are and sold in packs of seven for a suggested retail price of $2.49 to $2.99 per bar.

8. Sunflower Butter ‘N Berries Bar

Rowdy Prebiotic Food Co.'s Sunflower Butter ‘N Berries Bar combines cranberries, pomegranates and sunflower butter into one bite. Each bar contains healthy prebiotics from the yacon root and is low-glycemic, paleo-friendly, non-GMO and free of artificial flavors, gluten, soy and dairy.

9. M&M’s Hazelnut Spread Candies

Chocolate bars weren’t M&M’s only product revealed in September. The brand’s new Hazelnut Spread Chocolate Candies, which feature a hazelnut spread center covered in milk chocolate, will be available nationwide beginning April 2019 in single (1.35 ounce) and share-size (2.53 ounce) packs, as well as a 8.3-ounce stand-up pouch. Along with its counterpart chocolate bars, M&M’s Hazelnut Spread Chocolate Candies will become permanent additions to the brand's lineup.

10. Soy Sauce Cup Noodles

Instant ramen noodle brand Cup Noodles has added a new flavor to its line of veggie ramen: Soy Sauce. The new flavor features a full serving of vegetables, including edamame, carrots, bok choy and green beans. This variety is the brand's first vegetarian product. It appeals to consumers' appetites for savory foods and complements the brand's existing Chicken, Spicy Chicken and Beef flavors, the company said.

11. Yasso Frozen Greek Yogurt

Greek yogurt brand Yasso Frozen Greek Yogurt has launched a line of limited-edition seasonal flavors, all available in the brand's novelty bars and pint formats. The new flavors for fall and winter include Pumpkin Cheesecake, Sugar Cookie and Peppermint Crunch, all which will be available at select retailers nationwide. Pumpkin Cheesecake will hit shelves this month, with Sugar Cookie and Peppermint Crunch following in November.

Each flavor contains between 120 and 150 calories per serving with 5 to 6 grams of protein and no artificial sweeteners.

12. MegaFood vitamins

Dietary supplement brand MegaFood debuted its new vitamins at the recent Natural Products Expo East in Baltimore, Md. The products include Adult Multivitamin Powders, MegaFood Gummies, Acute Defense Tablets and Shelf Stable Probiotics—all of which fall under the company’s umbrella of glyphosate residue-free products. The Adult Multivitamin Powders and Acute Defense Tablets are now available in retailers nationwide, while the MegaFood Gummies and Shelf Stable Probiotics will arrive in stores this month and in November, respectively.

13. Koia Fruit Infusions

Plant-based beverage company Koia recently launched its Fruit Infusions, which are now available at various retailers nationwide. The new product comes in three fruit-based flavors: Chocolate Banana, Mango Creme and Strawberry Creme. Fruit Infusions are the first Koia products to integrate real fruit with the benefits of a superfood, according to the company. These beverages—and every Koia product—are vegan, Non-GMO Project verified and free of dairy, soy and gluten.

14. Cherryvale Farms Love It Bars

Cherryvale Farms Inc., a plant-based baked goods company, has launched its Love It whole-grain snack bars. The bars, which are available online and in select retailers nationwide, come in three flavors: Banana Chocolate, Blueberry Lemon and Cherry Vanilla. Love It bars are Non-GMO Project verified, egg-free, dairy-free, nut-free and free from preservatives and artificial colors and flavors. They’re ideal for breakfast, dessert, snacks and lunchboxes, according to the company.

15. Gronk Bar

Sports nutrition supplement brand MuscleTech has partnered with NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski to develop the Gronk Signature Protein Candy Bar, which is available at various 7-Eleven locations and other retailers nationwide. The bars are soft-baked and gluten-free and have a suggested retail price of $2.99. They come in two flavors: Chocolate Deluxe and Chocolate Caramel Peanut.

16. Tony’s limited-edition bars

Dutch confectionery Tony’s Chocolonely has brought its limited-edition candy bars to the United States, which are available online and in select retailers. They come in three flavors: Blonde Chocolate Caramelized Pecan, Milk Chocolate Shortbread Caramel and Dark Chocolate Cocoa Cookies Caramel.

17. Sandwich Thins Rolls

Arnold, Brownberry and Oroweat Bread has relaunched its Sandwich Thins Rolls, which originally hit the market in 2008. The products now have a new recipe that focuses on enhancing the taste while balancing the nutritional qualities to target today’s healthy trends, according to the company.

The Sandwich Thin Rolls come in three varieties: Multigrain, 100% Whole Wheat and Honey Wheat. Each variety contains whole grains, olive oil and sea salt as its main ingredients. They are available at various retailers for a suggested retail price of $3.99.

18. MadeGood Soft Baked Mini Cookies

Granola producer MadeGood launched its new Soft Baked Mini Cookies in September, which are available in Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Banana, Apple Cinnamon and Double Chocolate flavors. They are gluten-free, certified vegan, organic, non-GMO, kosher and are made with various vegetables. And like all MadeGood products, the cookies are free of peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, dairy, egg, soy, sesame, fish and shellfish. They are available at various retailers nationwide.

19. Garden Lites Frittatas

Veggie food producer Garden Lites has rebranded its products to feature the mantra “Veggies Made Great” on the packaging. This relaunch coincides with the brand’s newest breakfast item, Garden Lites Frittatas, which come in two flavors: Veggie Bacon & Potato and Spinach & Egg White. The new packaging also highlights Garden Lites’ ingredients, which are gluten-free, non-GMO, nut-free and kosher. Its products are available in select retailers nationwide.
