It’s been only about 400 days since we launched, and we’ve already amassed seven times that number in hot new products available to the industry.

In a little more than a year, we’ve put together a database of nearly 2,800 products. The site has become a go-to for retailers interested in finding new-product trends before they become, well, trends. It’s a new-product repository, a time stamp of consumer demands, and a catalogue of the core products that still make up 80% of your sales.

And since its launch, we’ve tracked your trends. We’ve counted the number of times you clicked on the products in our database, and we’ve used that to build our first-ever digital-driven Convenience Store Products Hot 100. And the data surprised us. We expected a great deal of interest in foodservice—and to be certain, we received it. But we didn’t expect the broad interest in one category in particular: tobacco.

You and your c-store peers were searching for new-product solutions in a turbulent category. And we noticed.

Four of the top 10 most-clicked products are tobacco products, three of the top 10 are tobacco accessories, and the Hot 100 list in its entirety includes many more tobacco items on top of that.
