9 New Products Just in Time for Roadtrip Season

As consumers return to the road this summer, they’re more interested in retail safety and services than ever. A survey from research company Toluna shows Americans are feeling more confident about traveling with each passing month. Recently, 27% of those surveyed said they were comfortable to travel in April, and 42% said they’ll be ready to hit the road by July.

Commercial Zone Products debuted the EarthCraft Series, a customizable waste-management center designed to deliver style, function and durability. The units are built with UV-resistant recycled plastic that stands up to the elements, the company says. The EarthCraft Series’ customized options include a choice of waste or recycle bins, colors, roof styles and opening shapes. Single- or dual-stream units are available, and with or without decorative design on the doors and sides.

Vollrath expanded its cleaning and safety equipment portfolio with the Double-Sided Hand Washing Station, which offers customers and employees a convenient space to wash hands anywhere sanitation is a concern in a building. Outfitted with a pair of sinks separated by a safety guard, each side features a sink; faucet with a foot pedal for hands-free operation; soap dispenser; and towel dispenser. The wash station can be stationary or mobile. It is equipped with a 10-gallon fresh-water tank and a 13-gallon waste-water tank, making it ideal for indoor use and outdoor events.

Bradley introduced the next generation of its WashBar series, which has clean, rinse and dry functionalities and a modern profile. The Next Generation WashBar has a thin, L-shaped design; a durable chrome-plated cast; LED lighting that, along with easy-to-identify icons, guides the user through the hand-washing process; and a 1-gallon soap container for fewer refills. In March, it followed that up with an electronic touchless roll towel dispenser with touch-free activation and jam-free operation. Designed with state-of-the-art LiDAR sensors, the unit uses a combination of light and radar to optimize battery life and provide reliable activation while eliminating false activations, starts and stops.

LSI Industries’ line of high-performance commercial flood lights for pole and surface-mount applications is designed to illuminate parking lots, walkways, building facades and outdoor signage. The products also can be used for lighting structural and architectural columns, steeples and flag displays. Five sizes with outputs ranging from 1,000 to 50,000 lumens are available. The entire TFL line is compliant with DesignLights Consortium premium standards, allowing customers to qualify for energy rebates.

The Bitcoin ATM from Bitcoin Depot allows users to engage in financial transactions. Similar to a cash ATM, Bitcoin ATM allows users to buy and sell Bitcoin with cash at brick-and-mortar locations. Users can create and verify accounts in less than a minute, where other online options take weeks to approve accounts, the supplier says. Bitcoin Depot doesn’t take ownership of a user’s crypto, allowing transactions to be more secure and allowing them to choose a crypto wallet they desire.

The machine offers reduced fees and speed, with consumers being able to cash checks in about 4 minutes initially and in less than 60 seconds on subsequent visits. The machine uses simple steps to guarantee consumer ID and check validity, while proprietary technology and algorithms eliminate potential fraud, the company said.

For retailers that sell fuel, the VST Enviro-Loc fuel nozzle system from Vapor Systems Technologies Inc. expands with the environmentally friendly Enviro-Loc ECO Dripless NPNF (No Pressure-No Flow) Diesel Nozzle, the latest UL 2586-listed auto diesel product aimed at supporting a cleaner forecourt. The debut comes in response to addressing diesel fueling positions that are historically known for being a messy challenge for customers and operators, the manufacturer said. The highly engineered nozzle incorporates VST’s dripless spout technology with a robust stainless-steel tip for additional protection against potential damage.

DX Promote provides operators with a centralized rich-content management platform that transforms fuel dispensers into automated selling machines with locally targeted advertising at each fueling point. Retailers can advertise goods and services through an integrated digital experience. Driven by Microsoft Azure, DX Promote leverages next-generation technology to centrally manage and deploy day- and time-appropriate advertisements, the company said. The launch adds DX Promote support for both Wayne Ovation and Wayne Helix fuel dispensers.
