6 New Alcohol Beverages for 2021

beer and limes

Consumers’ preferences in alcohol drinks has strayed quite a bit from beer in recent years. While beer continues to be the most-sold segment of the alcohol category, new styles of drinks—primarily ready-to-drink options such as cocktails and hard seltzers—have made dramatic inroads, and the forced closings of restaurants and bars because of the coronavirus pandemic have only added to the trend.

“We know consumers are looking for real ingredients and great taste,” says Jonnie Cahill, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Heineken USA, which in 2019 partnered with Hornell Brewing Co. to create AriZona SunRise Hard Seltzer. The products is the “next evolution of hard seltzer,” Cahill says, that “adds a splash of fruit to the category.”

Similarly, BeatBox Beverages brought its take on mixed drinks to store shelves and more to come in 2021.

“We are extremely excited to be adding a sixth flavor to our already highly sought after Beatbox Beverages lineup,” says vice president of sales Tony Zangara.
