6 New CBD Drinks We’re Watching

Mike Tyson is now a player in the CBD-products game.

In August, the retired boxer, acting in his role as co-founder of El Segundo, Calif.-based Tyson Ranch Cos., launched Dwiink, a CBD-enhanced bottled water that not only mocks his trademark childlike voice but also gives CBD beverages some welcome marketing muscle.

And despite pending regulatory rulings that could limit the sale of CBD-enhanced drinks and other edible products, Tyson is far from the only one putting his reputation on the green line.

Click through for a look at recent CBD beverage news that has moved the needle for the product segment.

Jones Soda

Seattle-based Jones Soda Co. is speeding its move toward a line of CBD-infused beverages with a major investment by a hemp and CBD company.

Heavenly Rx on July 11 acquired from Jones Soda 15 million common shares, giving the CBD company about 25% ownership of Jones Soda. Heavenly Rx also has the option to acquire up to 51% of the soda company. The capital infusion will be used to accelerate the growth of Jones Soda's existing core business, as well as developing a range of CBD-infused products, according to the company. No timeline for a product coming to market was announced.
