7 New Jerky Products Unveiled at the 2018 NACS Show®

The meat-snacking industry is struggling. Jerky products are only purchased six to seven times a year, and that’s from consumers who say they “love” meat snacks, Tim Goldsmid, vice president of marketing for Jack Link’s, told Convenience Store Products. Goldsmid emphasized innovation and altering health perceptions as ways to make jerky top of mind among consumers.

Consequently, innovation was everywhere on the show floor at the recent NACS Show in Las Vegas. All types of jerky—from pork and beef cuts to steak bites and dried vegetable options—were on display.
